As a convenient instant communication tool, walkie-talkies are widely used in team activities, outdoor adventures and other scenarios. Team chat can make team members communicate efficiently, different brands and models of walkie-talkies, the chatting way will be different, let's talk about how to use walkie-talkies for team chat?
In the team chat before, need to ensure that the walkie-talkie is in normal working condition, sufficient power, antenna connection is solid. At the same time, ready to the same band and the same frequency of the walkie-talkie, only in the same frequency, the walkie-talkie can communicate with each other. In addition, some walkie-talkies also need to set the same CTCSS or DCS, which is equivalent to the walkie-talkie communication “code”, only sub-tone is consistent, the signal can be received, to avoid being interfered with by other signals of the same frequency.
Turn on the power switch of the walkie-talkie, use the frequency adjustment button or menu function to set the frequency of the walkie-talkie to the unified team frequency. Some walkie-talkies support inputting the frequency value directly, while some others select the frequency through the up and down adjustment buttons, so you need to refer to the manual of the walkie-talkies carefully to set the frequency.
Enter the menu setting option of the walkie-talkie and find the setting function. According to the team agreement, select the appropriate mode (CTCSS or DCS) and set the corresponding sub-tone frequency. After completing the settings, save and exit the menu
After the setup is completed, test communication with other team members. Press the transmit button of the walkie-talkie (usually the larger button on the side) and speak into the microphone to test whether the voice is clear and stable and whether other members can receive it normally. If there are communication problems, check whether the frequency and CTCSS/CDCSS settings are correct, or try to adjust the position of the walkie-talkie and the direction of the antenna.
When the team needs to be divided into multiple groups to communicate at the same time, different groups can be set to different frequencies. For example, group A uses frequency 1, group B uses frequency 2, and members of each group will set their walkie-talkies to the corresponding group frequency, and make sure that the sub-tone settings are the same, so as to realize independent communication within the group without interfering with each other. At the same time, if necessary, you can designate a public frequency for unified communication between the groups in case of emergency.
In areas with limited signal coverage or complex terrain, the communication range can be expanded with the help of a repeater. Set the walkie-talkie to match the frequency and sub-tone parameters of the repeater, and the repeater receives signals from the walkie-talkie and then amplifies and forwards them, thus realizing longer-distance and more stable communication. When using the repeater, you need to pay attention to the working frequency band of the repeater, the access method and other related parameter settings, and follow the rules of using the repeater.
If you can't communicate between repeaters, first check whether the frequency and sub-tone settings are exactly the same; second, make sure whether the repeater is in normal working condition and whether the power is sufficient; in addition, check whether there is a strong electromagnetic interference in the surrounding area, and try to change the location or channel. 2. Unclear Sound: The sound is not clear.
Unclear sound may be due to poor antenna connection, microphone or speaker failure, or excessive noise in the surrounding environment. You can reconnect the antenna, check whether the microphone and speaker are damaged, adjust the intercom volume, or find a relatively quiet environment for communication.
